Vahan.ai Expands Into Textile and Electronics Hiring as It Powers 3M+ Blue-Collar Jobs Across India
Vahan uses AI-powered technology to connect job seekers with employers directly through WhatsApp, streamlining the recruitment process with automated matching and communication.
Vahan, the Bengaluru-based hiring platform founded by Madhav Krishna, has helped over 3 million blue-collar workers in India find jobs. Now, it’s setting its sights on even broader impact. After years of focusing primarily on the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, the company is expanding into textile and electronics manufacturing—industries that employ millions and are ripe for digital transformation.
Scaling with AI and Smart Distribution
Vahan uses conversational AI to match job seekers with employers through WhatsApp, simplifying a process that’s often inefficient and opaque. By integrating with companies’ HR systems and building a strong distribution network across gig platforms and social media, Vahan offers employers high-quality candidates at lower cost.
According to The Economic Times, the company has already onboarded over 2,000 recruiters and placed more than 5,000 workers in the new sectors since launching its textile and electronics vertical in early 2024. Key clients include Dixon Technologies and Texport Industries.
On Track to Hit 10 Million Workers
This expansion is a major step toward Vahan’s goal of placing 10 million workers in jobs by 2026. India’s blue-collar workforce, especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, often faces structural barriers to employment. With WhatsApp-based job discovery and AI-driven screening, Vahan helps bridge that gap—quickly and at scale.
“Our long-term vision is to become the default hiring infrastructure for the country,” said Krishna.
The company is currently hiring for 30+ roles across functions to support its next stage of growth.
