Vahan uses AI-powered technology to connect job seekers with employers directly through WhatsApp, streamlining the recruitment process with automated matching and communication.
Madhav Krishna, founder and CEO of Vahan AI, has been included in the MIT Sloan Management Review India Tech 100—a prestigious list celebrating the country’s top 100 technology innovators. Vahan’s official LinkedIn page announced: “We’re proud to share that our Founder and CEO, Madhav Krishna, has been featured… This list celebrates 100 innovators shaping India’s tech landscape, and Madhav’s inclusion is a testament to the transformative work we’re doing at Vahan.ai—using AI to unlock earning opportunities for millions of blue-collar workers across the country.”
Madhav himself shared on LinkedIn, “Honored to be included in the MIT Sloan Management Review India Tech 100 list. This recognition means a lot—not just for me, but for what we’re building at Vahan.ai. Our goal is to bring earning opportunities to 1 billion people in the next 10 years (perhaps much faster!) using the power of AI.”
AI for Bharat: A Vision of Inclusive Employment
Launched in 2016, Vahan AI leverages machine learning and NLP through conversational tools—like WhatsApp chatbots—to connect blue-collar job seekers with employers at scale. Backed by investors including Y Combinator and Khosla Ventures, and recognized as a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer, Vahan now facilitates over 25,000 job placements per month across India.
Building Beyond Innovation: Social and Economic Impact
Madhav’s ambition is vast: to enable earning opportunities for a billion people in a decade. He described the achievement as “humbling and energizing” and credited his team’s belief in the mission. Vahan’s ground-up approach—driven by AI yet deeply rooted in user behavior and systemic need—is increasingly seen as a model for socially impactful tech in India.
With this recognition and its ongoing growth, Vahan AI is proving that AI platforms for social good can both deliver value and scale. Madhav’s inclusion in the MIT Tech 100 confirms the industry-wide resonance of his vision: a future of work where technology expands opportunity for all.
