SearchEye Raises $1 million to Connect Brands with Content Creators
SearchEye connects B2B brands with publishers so they can collaborate and create authentic brand signals.
Toronto-based SearchEye, has secured a $1 million CAD pre-seed round to scale the capabilities of its platform. Led by AfterWork Ventures and featuring participation from Everywhere VC, Archangel Ventures, and notable angel investors, this funding arrives alongside SearchEye's ongoing revenue growth and positive cash flow. Within just 18 months since its launch, SearchEye has achieved a monthly revenue of $80,000 USD and an estimated annualized revenue of $1 million USD.
Public relations is shifting away from traditional communication channels, such as television and newspapers, in favor of digital "earned media" strategies. Co-founded by Chris Porteous and Chris Thurston, SearchEye offers an all-in-one platform that streamlines the process of connecting brands with content channels to increase brand awareness. This approach caters to the evolving media landscape, covering content sites, industry blogs, and corporate blogs. Notably, the platform enables backlink procurement while adhering to Google's guidelines through double opt-in connections, granting publishers the autonomy to decide whether to monetize or opt out. Though its platform currently only supports written content, SearchEye plans to expand into diverse formats such as audio, video, and social media.
