Lalo Launches a Subscription Toy Service for Babies and Tots
Lalo is a modern baby and toddler brand built for today's families.
Lalo, the baby gear brand recognized for its sleek high chairs and play tables, has introduced an innovative subscription toy service for infants and toddlers. Launched on October 4, the Lalo Play Boxes are carefully designed to adapt as children grow. These boxes feature an array of toys constructed from wood and other durable materials, specifically tailored to different age groups, spanning from 0 to 12 weeks to 22 to 24 months. This concept is not entirely new, with companies like KiwiCo and Lovevery also offering subscription toy and activity boxes for children of various age ranges.
The Play Boxes aim to entertain and foster child development through play, using eco-friendly materials such as reclaimed rubberwood, upcycled sawdust, and non-toxic water-based paint. Each age group receives a set of toys that suits their developmental stage. For instance, the box for newborns to 12 weeks includes high-contrast vision cards, muslin cloths, wooden blocks for milestone photos, and more. As children progress, the toys become more advanced, accompanied by a Play Guide for parents offering valuable guidance. The subscription pricing starts at $80 for children up to 12 months and increases to $120 for children aged 13 months and up, with free shipping for subscribers. Lalo's founders Gregory Davidson and Michael Wieder are confident that their unique approach to sustainability and parent support sets them apart in the crowded subscription toy market, with plans to expand their offerings and support for parents in the future.
