Insurtech platform Indemn, based in New York, has successfully raised a $1.9 million pre-seed funding round led by Markd, alongside Afterwork Ventures, Everywhere Ventures, and investors from Australia and the U.S. Established in 2021, Indemn distinguishes itself as the "first fully conversation native insurance platform," employing artificial intelligence to streamline processes such as information retrieval, product configuration, and underwriting through natural conversation. Co-founded by Kyle Geoghan and Patrick Daly, Indemn's AI agents drive efficiency in digital insurance, targeting a reduction in operational costs.
The funding infusion marks a significant milestone for Indemn, underscoring its innovative approach in the insurtech sector. With plans for expansion, the capital injection positions Indemn to continue disrupting the insurance industry, leveraging its conversation-centric model and AI-driven efficiencies.
