Flaus Secures $2M Seed Round for Sustainable Electric Floss
Flaus is an electric flosser that uses sonic vibrations and real dental floss to make flossing as quick and easy as brushing.
Oral beauty brand Flaus has successfully closed a $2 million seed round, marking a significant step in its mission to bring electric flossing to the market, according to CEO Samantha Coxe. This funding round, led by Yeti Capital and featuring participation from Greenlight Ventures and Doug Bouton, complements the $2 million previously raised in a family and friends round, resulting in a total funding of $4 million. These funds provide Flaus with a runway of 18 to 24 months, offering ample opportunity to bring its innovative, sustainable electric flosser to consumers.
Flaus' revolutionary electric flosser utilizes recycled plastic heads and an ergonomic handle, making flossing as convenient as using an electric toothbrush. The company's products are slated to debut on Amazon in Q1, with plans to introduce a kid's line in Q4 of the following year, offering enticing opportunities for licensing and distribution partnerships. Looking ahead, Flaus envisions combining its electric flosser and toothbrush into a single, seamless, and portable product, with an emphasis on innovation, expansion, and eventually capturing the attention of major retailers such as Target and Sephora.
