Elektra Health and Oscar Team Up to Launch HelloMeno: Affordable Menopause Care Meets Accessible Insurance
Elektra Health provides a comprehensive menopause care platform offering telemedicine consultations with board-certified clinicians, evidence-based educational resources, and 1:1 personalized support.
For too long, menopause has been overlooked by the healthcare system. Now, Elektra Health and Oscar Health are changing that narrative. Their new Affordable Care Act (ACA) plan, HelloMeno, is the first insurance product designed specifically for women navigating menopause—offering a thoughtful blend of coverage, access, and dignity.
The plan, set to launch for 2026 enrollment, includes $0 primary care, gynecology, and behavioral health visits, along with no-cost hormone therapy, lab work, insomnia medication, and bone density scans. Through Elektra, members also gain 24/7 access to menopause-trained experts and Oscar estimates participants will save around $900 annually in out-of-pocket healthcare costs.
“This just feels totally different from what women expect from their health plan,” said Jannine Versi, CEO and co-founder of Elektra Health. “So many feel invisible in this phase of life. With HelloMeno, they finally have a plan made for them.”
An Underserved Population Gets Its Due
HelloMeno is part of Oscar’s broader strategy to design targeted health plans for specific conditions—joining previous offerings for diabetes, asthma, and COPD. But this one is different: it addresses a life stage experienced by over half the population, yet rarely spoken about in benefit design.
“ACA members often face steep costs when managing chronic or ongoing needs,” said Janet Liang, President of Oscar Insurance. “We saw a real opportunity to give women navigating menopause a plan that puts their needs first—clinically, financially, and emotionally.”
Oscar’s 2026 plans will be available in 573 counties across 20 states, with new expansions into Alabama and Mississippi. HelloMeno will also be supported by Oswell, Oscar’s new OpenAI-powered assistant for members, and Oscar Unlocks, a digital rewards program for healthy habits and digital engagement.
A New Blueprint for Gender-Specific Plans
HelloMeno represents more than a product—it’s a shift in how the healthcare industry thinks about women’s health. By integrating virtual care, hormonal treatment, and behavioral support into a single, affordable plan, Oscar and Elektra are offering a comprehensive and human-centered model that’s long overdue.
It’s also a signal to the broader insurance world: tailored benefits aren’t just for rare diseases or tech-savvy early adopters. They’re for the millions of women who’ve been told to wait it out in silence.
