Century Health is expanding its real-world evidence network through a new partnership with Eye Health America.
The partnership will use Century Health’s CHARM AI platform to mine more than a decade of ophthalmology data and convert unstructured clinical information into structured, research-grade datasets. The work focuses on chronic retinal diseases including diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration, drawing from more than 200,000 de-identified patient records.
This is an important unlock for ophthalmology and life sciences research. Some of the most valuable variables in eye care, imaging findings, subtle structural changes, quantitative retinal measurements, and disease progression metrics, often live inside PDFs, scanned reports, and other unstructured files. That makes them difficult to use at scale for drug development, trial design, post-marketing research, payer evidence, and label expansion work.
Century Health is building the infrastructure to make that data usable. Its CHARM AI platform extracts and structures longitudinal clinical data so life sciences teams can better understand how patients progress and respond to therapies over years of routine care.
For Century Health, the Eye Health America partnership deepens the company’s footprint in ophthalmology and supports its broader strategy of building a specialty-focused data network across areas including neurology, immunology, and ophthalmology. The company now covers more than one million longitudinal records across 12 disease categories.
