New York City is one of the world’s most active venture capital hubs, with over $200 billion invested in startups since 2011. Yet, breaking into VC remains notoriously difficult—especially for those without existing industry connections.
That’s why Everywhere Ventures, Supermomos, and CUNY IAR are launching the NYC Venture Capital Internship Program—a paid, 10-week summer internship that connects NYC students with top VC firms.
This program provides a direct path into venture capital for students, while also helping VC firms access top-tier young talent to support market research, deal sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management.
For students, it’s a launchpad into VC. For firms, it’s an opportunity to bring fresh perspectives into the industry.

Why NYC VC Firms Should Host Interns
Hosting an intern isn’t just about mentorship—it’s an opportunity to expand a firm’s capacity with high-caliber students who have been pre-screened and trained.
Why Host an Intern:
Gain operational support in market research, deal sourcing, and due diligence
Build a more inclusive, diverse talent pipeline
Mentor ambitious, high-potential students
Who Can Host:
NYC-based VC firms with at least one investment in tech or tech-enabled startups in the past year
Internships don’t have to end after the summer. Firms can extend internships or hire students for part-time or full-time roles after the program.
Mentorship Opportunities for NYC VC Leaders
The program also offers a mentorship opportunity for VCs looking to guide and inspire the next generation of venture capitalists.
Why Mentor:
Share insights with high-potential students
Join an exclusive VC community committed to building a more inclusive industry
Play an active role in shaping the future of venture capital
Expanding Access to VC Careers
Venture capital fuels the next generation of innovation, yet the industry still struggles with representation:
Less than 18% of VC investment professionals are women
Only 5% are Latinx, and just 1.2% are Black
Fewer than 2% of VC dollars go to Latinx- and Black-founded startups
The NYC Venture Capital Internship Program is part of Venture Access NYC, an initiative designed to expand access to underrepresented talent in venture capital.
With 50,000+ degrees awarded by CUNY each year, this program helps talented students get their foot in the door—while ensuring the VC industry benefits from diverse perspectives and fresh ideas.
