Founders Everywhere: Emil Eriksen
Emil Eriksen is the founder of &you, a Philippines‑focused telehealth platform that offers discreet, doctor‑led online care and treatment designed from the ground up for Filipinos.
Welcome to Founders Everywhere, where we highlight the incredible people behind the companies we’ve backed at Everywhere Ventures, a global pre-seed fund supported by a community of 500 founders and operators.
In the Philippines, it’s unfortunately often easier to access certain medications through the black market than through the formal healthcare system. &you is closing this gap with a telehealth platform that makes international-standard treatments safe, legal and compliant with local regulations. The company is redefining accessible, stigma-free care by tackling conditions that are often whispered about but deeply felt, including weight management, hair loss, sexual health, and mental wellness. They own the full spectrum of the process allowing patients to move from first contact to a legitimate prescription and doorstep delivery in hours instead of days.
Founder and CEO Emil Eriksen is a serial entrepreneur from Denmark who dropped out of high school at 17 to launch his first business. He’s spent more than a decade building companies across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. One of his previous ventures brought him to the Philippines to open back-office operations. After settling there five years ago, he saw first hand how fragmented the healthcare industry was. That experience inspired him to build &you alongside a world-class local team. Together, they are proving that it’s possible to create a clinically rigorous, highly regulated healthcare business in an emerging market while delivering a modern, fast, and deeply personalized patient experience.
What’s &you’s North Star?
Our North Star is bringing an international standard of medication and care to the Philippines and actually making it accessible. That means not just importing treatments, but designing a system where people can reliably get the therapies they need, with proper medical oversight, in a way that fits how they live.
What sets &you apart?
We aim to control as much of the stack as possible: our doctors are in‑house, our delivery drivers are in‑house, and we build the core tech ourselves, which is very unusual here. That gives us a completely different level of service. We provide 24/7 access with multiple doctors always on call, fast turnarounds, and a unified experience where every part of the journey is coordinated instead of being stitched together from different vendors. If we treat patients extremely well across their whole journey, the lifetime value makes that level of investment worthwhile as we expand deeper into healthcare.
Tell us about some recent milestones that &you crushed.
We went from idea to launch in less than 4 months, built a fully in‑house clinical and delivery stack, and hit strong, repeat revenue with healthy unit economics. We’re proving the model can scale sustainably in a complex, regulated market.
How has your background influenced you as a founder?
I grew up around medicine (most of my mom’s side of the family and my sister works in healthcare) so I’ve always been close to the space. Although I have almost no formal education, I’ve built up deep business and regulatory experience by operating in heavily regulated spaces from a very young age. That gives me a different lens. I instinctively simplify things that look complicated, which is incredibly useful in regulated industries where others tend to overcomplicate. It can be a weakness if you’re not self‑aware, but handled correctly it lets me see paths and structures that more traditionally trained people sometimes miss.
Any favorite books?
One book that’s stuck with me is “Blink” by Malcolm Gladwell. It’s not a business manual, but it’s about the power of gut instinct and how your subconscious pattern recognition can sometimes be more accurate than what you can formally calculate. That resonates a lot with how I navigate decisions—structured, yes, but with a lot of trust in intuition built from experience.
Fun Fact:
I love building things myself, and not just companies. Right now my hobby project is renovating our condo here in Manila myself.
