A Smarter Way to Prove Health Claims: Inside Radicle Science’s Gen 2 Platform
Radicle Science offers a "Proof-as-a-Service" platform that conducts large-scale, placebo-controlled clinical trials to validate the safety and efficacy of non-prescription health products.
Radicle Science, co-founded by Dr. Jeff Chen and Pelin Thorogood, has launched the second generation of its clinical trial engine, Radicle Discovery Gen 2—a major leap forward in how non-pharmaceutical health products are validated. By combining AI, biomarkers, and flexible study designs, the platform aims to give wellness brands the kind of speed, precision, and scientific rigor traditionally reserved for pharma.
“Radicle Discovery Gen 2 isn’t just an upgrade—it’s a complete reimagination of clinical research, starting with the end in mind,” said Chen. Thorogood added, “This is more than innovation, it’s a revolution in how natural products are clinically validated and precision targeted to subpopulations.”
Replacing the Old CRO Model
The platform was designed to overcome the inefficiencies of traditional contract research organizations (CROs), offering brands a faster, more customizable, and data-rich way to substantiate health claims. It supports everything from randomized, double-blind trials to open-label usability tests, giving companies options tailored to both scientific and marketing needs.
Radicle Discovery Gen 2 also brings clinical-grade rigor to a wide range of biomarkers. It now includes nearly 100 validated at-home tests for blood, saliva, stool, and vaginal samples. Plus, it supports a growing list of digital biomarkers via wearables like Apple Watch, Oura Ring, and FitBit, as well as smartphone-based cognitive tests and AI facial scans.
Actionable Intelligence, Delivered
At the core of Gen 2 is Radicle’s Precision Insights engine—an analytics layer that crunches diverse trial data with AI to reveal how a product performs across different user segments. These insights don’t just validate claims; they enable more targeted personalization and marketing.
To handle its large-scale trials involving thousands of participants, Radicle also deploys AI agents to assist with communication and coordination. That means smoother logistics for participants and more time for scientists to focus on meaningful analysis.
As Radicle builds the largest clinical evidence dataset on wellness products, Gen 2 is poised to become a new standard in health research–one that’s fast, flexible, and built for real-world use.
